WWE News: John Cena sends special message after Elimination Chamber loss
What’s the story?
Following his appearance on RAW Talk after the Elimination Chamber, John Cena has now taken to social media to allude that he will indeed compete at WrestleMania.
Amidst worries regarding Cena’s WrestleMania status, “The Champ” has cleared the air regarding the same.
In case you didn’t know…
For long, John Cena has been considered to be one of the WWE’s top Superstars.
Cena was the WWE’s promotional flag-bearer since the mid-2000s, however, over the past 2-3 years, Roman Reigns has taken over from Cena, as the new face of WWE.
The heart of the matter
John Cena partook in the post-Elimination Chamber show “RAW Talk”, and appeared to be disappointed with his loss in the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match.
Cena noted that this year, he may not have a Road to WrestleMania. However, the veteran WWE Superstar added that he’d look to break etiquette this time around, and will find a way to compete at WrestleMania 34.
Furthermore, Cena is now doubling down on his promise of carving himself a spot on the WrestleMania 34 card, as he sent out a Tweet to the fans, stating—“Adapt. Overcome. #NeverGiveUp”.
What’s next?
The vast majority of professional wrestling experts believe that John Cena is set to feud with The Undertaker—with said feud culminating in a match at Wrestlemania 34 in April.
As of this time, Cena is not involved in any angle on either RAW or SmackDown.
Author’s take
John Cena truly is one of the most inspirational figures to have ever graced a professional wrestling/sports-entertainment ring. Cena strictly abides by his rules of “Hustle. Loyalty. Respect.”
Although it’s awesome to see Cena send out an optimistic message to his fans, it does hurt that one of the greatest Superstars in WWE history doesn’t have a storyline i.e. “Road to Wrestlemania” this close to the Show of Shows.
Here’s hoping the WWE has a surprise in store for members of the Cenation.
