WWE News: John Cena shared picture of Sister Abigail years ago on RAW
What's the story?
Bray Wyatt might not have been in action at WWE: TLC due to illness but the ‘Eater of Worlds’ was the talk of the universe for a while when it was revealed that Sister Abigail is the alter-ego of Wyatt.
However, John Cena had earlier revealed who Sister Abigail really was and this all took place a few years ago.
In case you didn't know...
Wyatt was scheduled to face Finn Balor at TLC but his illness ensured that the ‘Demon King’ would have to face AJ Styles, which did steal the show at the pay-per-view.
The bout between Balor and Wyatt seemed to be regarding their alternate personas with Wyatt showcasing Sister Abigail a few weeks ago which basically was him in drag.
The heart of the matter
Cena might not have had a hand to play in the rivalry between Balor and Wyatt, ‘The Champ’ did have a feud with Wyatt leading up to a huge battle at WrestleMania 30.
The back and forth between the two continued afterwards on RAW and a clip from the show saw Cena take a dig at every member of the Wyatt family.
‘The Champ’ started having fun and a picture of Bray in drag was confirmed by Cena as being that of Sister Abigail but most of us laughed it all off at that time.
What's next?
Wyatt still has not returned to RAW but he has been performing at live events, so it will be interesting to see just what happens on the next episode of RAW.
We just might see Sister Abigail once again but the reveal from Cena certainly was unintentional.
Author's take
We all expected Sister Abigail to be an actual female wrestler from NXT but the WWE using Wyatt in drag certainly was quite disappointing and once again showed that the creative team does not really know what they are doing.
Cena might have been kidding around when he shared pictures of Sister Abigail but no one would have expected his joke to become a real event in the WWE.
Watching Bray act out as Abigail is cringe-worthy, to say the least, and I hope this is the end of the character and Bray can get back to being himself.
