The Pirate Princess

Mae Young Classic winner Kairi Sane finally made her in-ring debut at the recent round of NXT tapings. He debut will air on the 4th October episode.

Sane came out victorious against Aliyah during the tapings on Thursday night. The Japenese star will get an opportunity to win the vacant NXT Women's Championship at Takeover: Houston in a Fatal 4-Way match.

Sane is the only competitor that has been confirmed for the match and the remaining three names will be announced in the coming weeks.

Widely considered to be one of the best female wrestlers on the planet, Sane -- formerly known as Kairi Hojo -- has wrestled for some of the most popular female wrestling promotions. She is one of the biggest stars in World Wonder Ring Stardom (popularly known as Stardom).

WWE took the last-minute decision to book The Pirate Princess as the winner of the inaugural Mae Young Classic. She beat Toni Storm, Dakota Kai, Bianca BelAir and Tessa Blanchard to reach the finals of the tournament.

By overcoming the odds against tournament favourite Shayna Baszler, Sane not only won the historic tournament but also became a favourite to next NXT Women's Championship.

With Asuka confirmed to make her RAW debut soon, NXT is in the need for a new face and Sane seems like a worthy successor.

Having one of the greatest elbow drops in the business doesn't guarantee success as Asuka has set the bar high. Hell! She is the bar!

Sane has a huge task on her hand along with immense potential. Will she succeed? Sound off in the comments section.
