WWE News: Kevin Owens and David Otunga engage in Twitter battle, Chris Jericho joins in

Kevin Owens was not at all impressed with David Otunga’s comment

SmackDown Live commentator David Otunga seems to have drawn the ire of WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens, because of a comment made by him about Survivor Series, which apparently poked fun at the latter. Worse still, he went on to retweet a fan’s post which referred to his statement as the best line of the night.

Owens took exception to Otunga’s actions and got back at him with a tweet of his own, stating that Otunga had finally found someone who likes his commentary and to let everyone know when he finds anyone who liked what he did in the ring.

The Harvard Law School Graduate found some support from one of the fans and used it to get back at Kevin Owens. The fan tweeted that he enjoyed Otunga’s in-ring work and questioned Owens on what he had to say after that.

David Otunga then tweeted that he had found one person who liked his in-ring work but also claimed that ‘The Prizefighter’ had misunderstood him. He added that he admired Owens and wished that he could dress up like him while at work.

Meanwhile, the WWE Universal Champion’s ‘best friend’, Chris Jericho, decided to barge into the conversation and offer his support for the other half of ‘JeriKO’. In a tweet which was on the lines of Otunga’s Survivor Series comments on Owens, Y2J wrote, “How about, It’s the battle of the #SmackdownStupidIdiots and I’m not talking about @davidotunga’s stupid fat face!”

Otunga responded by praising Jericho for having Owens’ back but regretted the fact that his fellow SmackDown commentator, Mauro Ranallo, was not by his side. Check out both tweets:

The spirit of the Survivor Series seems to have spilt over beyond the pay-per-view, as the banter between the Raw Superstar and the SmackDown Live commentator continues. Here is a video of David Otunga becoming an official WWE commentator:
