WWE News: Kevin Owens issues a warning to Tye Dillinger on Twitter
What’s the story?
WWE Superstar Tye Dillinger was featured on WWE NXT’s tour of the American west coast.
This was Dillinger’s last set of Live Event appearances with the NXT brand. On his very last night of the tour in San Diego, Dillinger gave an emotional speech which included a message to Kevin Owens. The Prizefighter fired back on Twitter with the following retort:
How cute?! Oh, hey, don't ever say my name again unless you're telling people how great I am. @wwedillinger

P.S. Nice new finishing move. https://t.co/HXV5Fgesvk
Dillinger had said that he was coming to “see” Kevin Owens after the crowd chanted “US Champ” at him.
In case you didn’t know...
Tye Dillinger, who featured in WWE’s NXT brand from 2013 to early 2017, was a staple of the developmental brand and feuded with several Superstars who went on to feature on the main rosters of the company. The Perfect 10 himself debuted on the main roster on the SmackDown after WrestleMania 33 and has been a part of the roster since.
The heart of the matter
Tye Dillinger, on his last Live Event (and thus final) appearance for the NXT brand in San Diego, thanked the fans and gave a heartfelt speech about his time in NXT. After the speech concluded, the fans started chanting “US Champ” at him, to which Dillinger responded with a smile and was quoted as saying:
“Kevin Owens, I’m coming to see ya.”
A video of Dillinger’s full speech and the message to Owens can be seen below:

Owens, who is the current WWE United States Champion, responded to Dillinger’s comment on Twitter and warned Dillinger to never say his name again unless it was to tell people how great Owens was. Owens also sarcastically remarked on Dillinger’s new finishing move.
What’s next?
Now that Tye Dillinger has decisively wrapped up his NXT commitments, it is time for him to focus on SmackDown LIVE. If he stays true to his promise, Dillinger might just start up a feud with United States Champion Kevin Owens for the US Championship.

Author’s take
Dillinger has more than paid his dues with the WWE and it is definitely time for him to shine on the main roster. Kevin Owens and Dillinger have crossed paths many times in NXT, and if Dillinger’s message holds any water, then we might see a great feud on SmackDown LIVE.
Kevin Owens, who has praised Dillinger’s work in the past, would certainly be the perfect opponent for Dillinger to really make his mark on the main roster.
