WWE News: Kevin Owens responds to his rumored WrestleMania 34 match
What’s the story?
Earlier in the week, rumors from WON suggested that the current WrestleMania 34 plan for WWE Smackdown Live superstars Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn is to enter the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal match at ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All’.
In case you didn’t know…
For the past few months, the duo of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have been a part of the main event scene on Smackdown Live as they’ve been feuding with commissioner Shane McMahon. They started teaming after Owens’ win over Shane back at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, all thanks to a huge assist from Sami Zayn.
The heart of the matter
As per reported by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter earlier this week, the current plans for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn is apparently to be featured in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34.
Former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens decided to post a photo on Twitter of a previous Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal with a caption that read “Tape study” and seemingly responded to the rumors of him being a part of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal this year at WrestleMania.
What’s next?
Kevin Owens will be competing in the 6-pack challenge for the WWE Title tomorrow at the Fastlane pay-per-view at the Nationwide Arena, in Columbus, Ohio.
The WWE Championship match will also feature five other men in the likes of Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, and current WWE Champion AJ Styles.
Author’s Take
Another rumor that has been circulating on the internet is a one-on-one match between Dolph Ziggler and Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 34. Personally, I hope that WWE doesn’t go down that path and instead brings an end to the rivalry between Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 34.
