WWE News: New match announced for No Mercy 2017
The WWE just announced on social media and their app that a match was added to the Kickoff Show for this Sunday's No Mercy pay per view live from Los Angeles, California.
Apollo Crews from Titus Worldwide will take on the artist formerly known as The Drifter, Elias. Check out the official tweet from the WWE below:
Apollo Crews comes off a win against Curt Hawkins on last week's edition of Monday Night Raw. It was the debut of a new angle for Hawkins as he attempts to stop his massive losing streak, but on Monday Apollo increased that streak to 115 matches.
Elias was in the main event of Raw this week in a Six-Pack Challenge for a chance to become the #1 contender for Miz's WWE Intercontinental Championship at No Mercy. He fell short though as Jason Jordan picked up a big win.
It is a toss-up when determining who will win the upcoming match. Many times the WWE has the babyface win to energize the crowd before the main show starts, but Elias has received more of a sizable push as compared to Crews.
Regardless, expect the kickoff match to deliver an entertaining start to the evening, especially if Elias graces us with another concert.
