WWE News: The war between Kofi Kingston and The Revival rages on
What’s the story?
New Day member Kofi Kingston and The Revival’s Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson are reportedly embroiled in a war of words online, which started after Wilder and Dawson made a ‘We broke Kofi’s ankle’ shirt.
In case you didn’t know...
The Revival- a tag-team comprising Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson- have competed on NXT from 2014 and recently made their main roster debut on Monday Night RAW on the episode that followed Wrestlemania 33.
The Revival defeated The New Day and attacked Kingston after the match, while (kayfabe) injuring his ankle in the process. However, it was later revealed by WWE that Kofi had legitimately injured his ankle, the severity of which we had previously reported.
The heart of the matter
The Revival have been mocking Kingston’s injury and boasting about having caused said injury, going as far as making a shirt in reference to the same-

Dash Wilder, much like Kingston, also recently suffered a jaw injury at an NXT live event and is estimated to be out of action for about eight weeks. Kofi responded to The Revival’s shirts that mocked his ankle injury, and posted the following photograph taking a shot at Wilder’s jaw injury-

Not to be outdone, Wilder and Dawson responded to Kingston-

Sweet stain on your even sweeter cargo shorts. Maybe we'll break your other ankle just for wearing those. Have fun hiding over at Smackdown. https://t.co/zmE2MksqMR

What’s next?
The New Day have since been drafted from RAW to SmackDown, and will reportedly make their return to WWE after Kingston recovers from his injury. Meanwhile, The Revival are still contracted to Monday Night RAW and will be back in action after Wilder rehabilitates his jaw, probably in no more than eight weeks.
Author’s take
Well, after Titus O’Neil threw the internet into a tizzy by posting a kayfabe-shattering photograph of on-screen rivals Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman hanging out like a couple of naïve tourists in Europe, the Kingston vs. Revival war seems to be on the complete opposite side of the spectrum.
Now I now that The New Day and The Revival are presently on different brands, but who’s to say that Wilder and Dawson can’t pull a few strings here and there and pay their old friend Kofi a visit on SmackDown Live.
