WWE News: Kofi Kingston lashes out at Brock Lesnar for his attacks on Rey Mysterio and Dominick
WWE RAW's season premiere was supposed to feature Rey Mysterio challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship. Things didn't work out as planned, owing to the carnage laid out by Brock Lesnar in the opening segment of this week's show.
Lesnar's advocate, Paul Heyman, addressed the situation by mocking the incapability of WWE in controlling The Beast Incarnate. He went on to say that the beatdown on Rey Mysterio and his son Dominick was nothing but a warning to Kofi Kingston.
As seen below, the WWE World Champion wasted no time in firing back to Heyman.
Brock Lesnar's rampage on RAW
This week's RAW began with Rey Mysterio talking about his WWE Universal Championship match against Seth Rollins. He also mentioned the role his son Dominick played in getting him back to the main event scene. The segment came to an abrupt end with intervention from Brock Lesnar.
The Beast Incarnate not only destroyed Rey Mysterio with several F5s, but took out Dominick with a series of suplexes and F5 as well. The merciless attack once again showed what Brock Lesnar is capable of doing when he steps into the squared circle.
Kofi Kingston's response
The FOX premiere of Friday Night SmackDown will feature Kofi Kingston defend the WWE World Championship against Brock Lesnar. Although Lesnar seems like a clear favourite heading into the match, Kingston is very confident about retaining his title when they face each other this Friday.
Heyman's comment following Lesnar's assault on Mysterio and his son would have intimidated any other Superstar but not Kingston. Being the father of two boys, the WWE World Champion vowed to teach Brock Lesnar a lesson for messing with someone's family.
On one hand, Brock Lesnar continues being relentless, while on the other, Kofi Kingston is oozing with confidence. The combination guarantees a must-watch battle and it will be pretty interesting to see what happens when they face off for the WWE Championship later this week.
