WWE News: Kurt Angle on the futures of Neville and Nia Jax

Angle was asked about Neville's future during a recent Facebook Q&A

What’s the story?

Kurt Angle has shared his thoughts, albeit briefly, on the futures of Neville and Nia Jax. In a recent Facebook Q&A session, the Raw General Manager noted that "I don't know about Neville but Nia should be ok to go very soon. They’re both important talents to the roster."

In case you didn’t know…

There’s been plenty of speculation in recent weeks regarding the futures of Neville and Nia Jax.

Back on October 9, Neville was alleged to have walked out on the company in the build-up to that evening’s showing of Raw, and it seems he hasn’t been seen since. The following week, Jax was then reported to have followed Neville’s lead.

Rumours surfaced suggesting that she too had stormed out, though the Wrestling Observer Newsletter later revealed that its sources had indicated she’d "apparently taken a leave of absence from the promotion for personal reasons."

Of course, just to further muddy the waters, it was noted that WWE had officially denied the story’s accuracy…

Long story short: question marks persist regarding both of their futures.

Going in depth

Angle’s response came after one Facebook user commented "Hi Kurt! Please update us on the situation of Neville and Nia Jax."

And while he may genuinely be in the dark regarding the situation with Neville, his noncommittal reply hardly dispels the theories that the former Cruiserweight Champion had indeed quit WWE.

What's next?

While Angle didn’t go into details on a date for Jax’s potential WWE return, she is being advertised for the company’s upcoming European tour.

WWE will be heading to the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Italy and, for the first time in five years, Portugal, this November. The tour kicks off in Glasgow on Nov 1, with the final date taking place in Florence, Italy, on Nov 12.

Author’s take

Angle’s ambiguity regarding Neville’s status is obviously an attempt to remain impartial on the matter, though it doesn’t instil much confidence regarding the Englishman’s WWE future. Ultimately, don’t be surprised to see him back on the indies in the new year, but for Jax, it's looking increasingly likely that she’ll be back in the fold once this brief leave of absence is over.
