WWE News: Kurt Angle sets potential WWE return date, talks about Hall of Fame induction

Kurt Angle would be perfect to join the WWE 2K18 roster as a pre-order bonus

Former WWE and TNA superstar Kurt Angle made some headlines last week when he claimed that he had a talk with WWE officials a few months ago and they were interested in bringing him back.

Just a few days after that interview, Angle has once again spoken about a possible WWE return claiming that he in good terms with the company.

Kurt who recently appeared on The Ric Flair Show was asked about his recent comments and a possible WWE return. In reply, he said that he talked to Triple H a few months ago but it was a loose conversation. He said:

"If I go back to WWE it would most likely be the year or year after. I did talk with Triple H a few months ago, very loose conversation. They have interest, I have interest. They don’t know what to do with me yet, you know, it was more of a loose conversation. "

Talking about what can we expect from the fact that Angle had a talk with the Vice President of the company, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion said that it won't be a surprise if they see him back with the company next year:

"Put it this way, I wouldn’t be surprised if I go back next year and I wouldn’t be surprised if I don’t go back at all. But it was kind of cool to talk to Triple H and bury the hatchet with the past. We are both on good terms with each other. I reach out to Vince every once in awhile."

Speaking about a possible Hall of Fame induction the former World Champion said that it's important to him but will not kill him if he does not become a part of it:

"It’s just good to be able to let the past go behind you and you know, if something does happen, it just feels good to know that I will end my career there. If I don’t, then that’s fine too. The Hall of Fame is important to me, but it wouldn’t kill me if I wasn’t in. You just never know."

It's notable here that at the age of 47, Kurt Angle would hardly fit as a full-time active member in either of WWE's both rosters. Although just like Sting, he would be a perfect fit to have a match or two at any of WWE's big four PPVs before finally hanging his boots up.

Due to the rich history and the long list of achievements he holds in both Pro wrestling and Amateur wrestling, Angle would also be a perfect wrestler to be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame sometime down the line and similarly, he would be a fitting wrestler to be added as an exclusive bonus in any of the upcoming installments of WWE 2K video game series.
