What’s the story?

Earlier today, Smackdown Live’s female superstar Lana, revealed on the social media the exact reason on why she doesn’t wrestle matches on live TV anymore.

Lana took it to her official Twitter handle and replied to one of her fans, who asked The Ravishing Russian why she has decided to step away from the wrestling ring and why she hasn't been seen performing on the blue brand of Smackdown Live ever since her feud with Naomi in June.

In case you didn’t know…

Earlier this year, Lana joined the Smackdown Live Women’s division following her on-screen separation with “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev.

After joining the SD Live Women’s division, Lana immediately went after then SD Live Women's champion Naomi and her Smackdown Live Women’s title. “The Ravishing Russian” however, would fail to capture the blue brand’s women’s title after suffering a series of losses to Naomi.

The heart of the matter

Lana was recently questioned by a fan on Twitter if she had ever cried or not after watching some of her own scenes on Total Divas' on-going seventh season, where Lana is currently working as a cast member for the show.

Lana would go on and tweet out her reply to the fan by admitting that, yes, she did indeed shed a few tears on the show after all. The 32-year-old said that she cries every time she watches the episode where the WWE creative team asks her to step away from the in-ring action on live TV.

However, despite not being able to wrestle on TV anymore Lana said that she is thankful that she gets to wrestle at various live events held by WWE around the world and would also go on to end her statement by saying that she loves wrestling.

What’s next?

As for Lana, she is currently playing a valet role on Smackdown Live. She was last seen playing the role of an advocate/valet for Tamina Snuka and has also been noticed motivating Tamina with encouraging words, before her matches.

Author’s take

I think Lana still needs to improve a lot inside the ring and does indeed has a lot of room for improvement. However, I believe she will eventually reach her complete potential if she keeps on wrestling at house shows on a regular basis which will only help her to get better inside the squared circle.
