What's the story?

Former RAW Women's Champion, Bayley returned from her shoulder injury on this week's episode of WWE RAW at her hometown of San Jose, California. Immediately following her return, she even sent this Tweet out, to address the WWE Universe.

In case you didn’t know…

The former NXT Women's Champion defeated Sasha Banks on the July 24 edition of RAW to become the No. 1 contender for Alexa Bliss's title and was supposed to face Bliss at SummerSlam in Brooklyn.

Unfortunately, she couldn't due to her shoulder injury which occurred during her match with Nia Jax on the following episode of RAW.

The heart of the matter

After Nia Jax pinned RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss in a non-title match this week, Sasha Banks tried to attack Nia Jax from behind, to no avail. Bayley made her return to a huge pop. Alexa, Sasha and Bayley then cleared Nia Jax from the ring. Sasha Banks and Bayley celebrated but Alexa interrupted and raised her hand along with them. This idea backfired as both Sasha and Bayley attacked Alexa, with Bayley hitting a Bayley-to-Belly.

WWE announced that Bayley was added to what had been a Fatal 4-Way match, making it a Fatal 5-Way that now features her, Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks, Nia Jax and Emma.

In a post-match interview, Bayley revealed she felt amazing after putting a Bayley-to-Belly on Alexa Bliss.

What's next?

After missing out on her opportunity to challenge Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam, Bayley will have a shot to regain the RAW Women's Championship this Sunday at No Mercy.

Author's take

Bayley looks like she's better than ever and yes, she means business. Before her injury, she was the No. 1 contender for Alexa Bliss's title. Bayley's return strengthens the depth of the RAW Women's Division.

Expect her to provide some serious competition to the other four contenders as she is in great shape. She just might leave the pay-per-view as the new RAW Women's champ.
