Smackdown Live saw the former Wyatt Family members, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan debut a new gimmick as a tag team. The two had been off television since May and July respectively and had been involved in singles runs.

There had been rumours of the two coming together to form a newly repackaged tag team for a long time, and this week's Smackdown Live confirmed that the rumours were true.

In a video promo, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan took off masks to reveal their faces. Wearing ragged and ominous attire, Harper and Rowan had a complete overhaul from their old characters. They were still intimidating, and the name of their Tag team was revealed as 'The Bludgeon Brothers'.

Harper and Rowan were NXT Tag Team Champions at one point and were a great tag team. They did well on the main roster as well, though they were never able to win the WWE Tag Titles with each other.

Widely considered to be one of the most wasted talents in WWE, Luke Harper will be hoping that this new gimmick will help him get a better run on the main roster than he has gotten so far.

It is unknown at this moment when the two will be making their debut as a team on the Smackdown Live show, with there likely being more vignettes and promos before their actual debut takes place.

They may look to focus on the Smackdown Tag Team Championships which are held by the Usos at this point, though Shelton and Gable are now the No. 1 contenders for that match, after winning a fatal four-way match on Smackdown Live.

Since, the Bludgeon Brothers can be abbreviated to 2B, fans have speculated that they could be the mystery attackers of Breezango, as Breezango's last clue was a sheet of paper with '2B' written on it.
