WWE News: Luke Harper to star in a new film
Over the years, several WWE Superstars have had successful Hollywood careers. Another WWE wrestler will be joining that list soon. As confirmed by wrestlinginc.com, former Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper has been cast in a new horror-action movie titled Mohawk. Harper is currently sidelined from the main roster of WWE due to an injury.
The Wrap reports that Dark Sky Films and Snowfort Pictures will be producing the movie, which Ted Geoghegan will direct. The movie Mohawk will be having Kaniehtiio Horn in the lead role, where as supporting roles will be played by Harper, Justin Rain, Noah Segan, Ian Colletti, Robert Longstreet, Sheri Foster, Ezra Buzzington and Andrew Sensenig.
Apparently, the principal photography for the movie has began today in upstate, New York. The main story follows Mohawk, a young female who finds herself in a chase after one of her tribes sets fire on an American soldiers' camp. She flees into the woods but is confronted by the Colonel and his soldiers. As the soldiers close in on her and other youths from the tribe, they use real and supernatural forces to fight back.
As for Luke Harper, rumors indicate that he will be in no state to wrestle before Summer, this year. Currently, he is rehabbing after a knee injury he suffered, while working in a dark match on March 21st episode of WWE RAW.
