WWE News: Major update on Dean Ambrose's recovery time
What's the story
WWE Superstar Dean Ambrose is injured and recently went under the knife to fix what they first thought was an elbow problem. However, after Dr Dugas went into The Lunatic Fringe's arm it was discovered that about half of his triceps muscle had been ripped off the bone.
This kind of injury can take a different range of expected recovery times and WWE announced that Dean Ambrose's recovery time is going to be on the lengthy side.
In case you didn't know...
Samoa Joe is currently taking the blame for injuring Dean Ambrose although The Wrestling Observer Newsletter speculated Ambrose could have actually injured his arm during a botched table break spot at TLC.
Therefore he could have been wrestling hurt for a while. But since Joe has also injured Seth Rollins in the past it looks like he'll be taking the credit for Ambrose's time on the injured list as well.
The heart of the matter
WWE announced during the Christmas Day edition of Raw that Dean Ambrose is expected to be out of action for nine months. This kind of prognosis would keep Ambrose out of action for a very long time while his injury heals and he will miss a lot of storylines including the entire Road To WrestleMania and possibly even SummerSlam.
Of course, there's always a chance WWE is exaggerating a tad so when Ambrose does come back it will appear that he recovered quicker than first thought, but at this time the nine-month recovery time seems to be the story they're going with.
What's next?
Dean Ambrose will sit on the sidelines until his injury is healed and he's cleared for return. However, it's very likely this time away from the ring will bring back a more focused Lunatic Fringe so he can tackle the WWE Universe with his unique brand of offence once again.
Author's take
Let's just hope The Shield sticks around long enough to see his return. But at this rate, Ambrose's injury might have meant a premature ending for The Hounds Of Justice.
