WWE News: Mandy Rose and Bianca Belair get into it on Twitter over a "hair whip" on Raw

Things got heated on Twitter between Mandy Rose and Bianca Belair after Raw this week

What's the story?

WWE.com is reporting on a social media spat between Mandy Rose of Absolution and Bianca Belair of NXT. The spat is over a supposed hair whip move that Mandy did to Bayley in their six-woman tag match to close Monday Night Raw this week.

In case you didn't know...

Mandy Rose was a contestant on the latest edition of Tough Enough in 2015. She would finish second in the competition to Sara Lee (who is no longer with the WWE). Her main roster debut with Absolution came on November 20, 2017.

Bianca Belair is a track and field star who signed a developmental deal with the WWE in 2016. She would make her NXT television debut in May of 2017 as well as compete in the Mae Young Classic where she lost in the second round to eventual champion Kairi Sane.

The heart of the matter

To use the phrase "that escalated quickly" is an understatement when it comes to the words exchanged between Bianca and Mandy after the WWE post. Take a look at the initial tweet from the WWE below:

Now the WWE didn't call it a hair whip, and after watching it again, it looked more like a headbutt than an attack with her hair; which is a signature move of Bianca's. However, this fan saw it as a hair whip and that heated up the war of words:

Which promoted this reply from the NXT Superstar:

Then the gloves came off and the back and forth on Twitter ensued and even snagged Mandy's WWE Mixed Match Challenge tag partner Goldust and Bianca's fiancee Montez Ford (one half of the Street Profits tag team in NXT) into the argument...

What's next?

Bianca continues to appear on NXT Wednesday nights on the WWE Network; while Mandy Rose will step into the first women's Elimination Chamber match on Sunday with Sonya Deville, Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Mickie James for the WWE Raw Women's Championship.

Author's take

After watching it a few times, I'm still convinced it was just a headbutt and not a hair whip, but the argument made WWE.com so that's definitely worth something, especially for Bianca who is working hard to make a name for herself in NXT.

If the WWE decides to have another Mixed Match Challenge shortly after this one ends, they have themselves a built-in first round match-up with the great team of Rosegold and the talented couple of Montez Ford and Bianca Belair.
