What’s the story?

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Matt Hardy briefly interacted with Mick Foley; addressing the Ultimate Deletion Match.

Additionally, “Woken” Matt also asserted that he’d gladly “Delete” Vince McMahon if the latter disliked the Ultimate Deletion.

In case you didn’t know…

Matt Hardy’s Broken persona was heralded as one of the professional wrestling industry’s most popular gimmicks in the 2016 calendar year.

The Hardy Boyz returned to the WWE in April of last year, and with Jeff Hardy suffering an injury in late-2017, Matt gradually reverted back to his Broken persona—depicting the same as “Woken” Matt on RAW.

The heart of the matter

On the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, Matt Hardy faced Bray Wyatt in an Ultimate Deletion Match, which was filmed at the Hardy Compound—a matchup that saw Matt defeat Wyatt and throw the latter into the Lake of Reincarnation.

As we’d previously reported, multiple professional wrestling legends, as well as fans and experts, praised the Ultimate Deletion Match, including Mick Foley who stated that he didn’t know what he just saw, but he liked it. Reiterating his opinion, Foley praised Hardy for the Ultimate Deletion during their brief conversation, courtesy TMZ Sports.

Furthermore, 'The Woken One' explained that Mr. McMahon is a hard character to read—which in turn makes it tough to say whether the WWE boss liked the Ultimate Deletion or not. Regardless, 'The Woken One' added that his Woken Warriors and the entire WWE Universe loved the match.

Hardy continued that in case Mr. McMahon didn’t like the Ultimate Deletion, he has a spot for the latter at the Hardy Compound, where he can Delete Vince McMahon. Hardy pointed out that Senor Benjamin would love to start digging a hole for McMahon—

What’s next?

Matt Hardy’s next feud is set to be revealed on Monday Night RAW in the days to come.

Fans can expect Hardy to move on from his feud with Bray Wyatt, since Wyatt is expected to be receiving a character revamp over the next few weeks.

Author’s take

“Woken” Matt Hardy certainly doesn’t fear Mr. McMahon…or rather should one say “MeekMahon”, as Matt pronounces it.

Regardless, given the history of Mr. McMahon feuding with WWE Superstars, perhaps a storyline, or at the very least a segment, between the duo would be wonderful.
