WWE News: Matt Hardy talks about the situation in TNA and possible WWE comeback
TNA Superstar Matt Hardy has enjoyed immense popularity, ever since he adopted his ‘Broken’ persona and currently holds the TNA World Tag Team title with his brother Jeff, whom he has named ‘Brother Nero’.
Matt recently appeared on the Ross Report where he spoke to legendary WWE commentator Jim Ross, about the current situation within the TNA, the chances of him returning to the WWE and several other things.
On the recent ownership issue surrounding TNA, Hardy revealed that Anthem Sports & Entertainment are all set to become majority owners in the promotion. The former WWE United States Champion hoped that the new owners would change things for the better in 2017. Here’s what he said:
“Well, currently, what the situation is, is that a company from Toronto, Canada, Fight Network, their parent company, Anthem, is coming in and they have purchased the tape library; they have purchased the majority shareholder stake in the company and they will be majority owners, owning 90% or more of the company.”
“With the Anthem people coming in, I think it is going to change things, and it’s going to be run in a very different way, and I think it’s going to be a very good and a very productive 2017,” Matt added.

Good Ol’ J.R. posed a question to ‘Broken’ Matt Hardy about whether he was open to a WWE return in the future. To this, he replied that Vince McMahon would love to have him in his company because he is the most sought-after superstar in the pro-wrestling business at present.
“That is a very interesting question because I know McMahon, he sees my broken brilliance and he would love to do nothing more than to draw it to his show because he knows, right now, it is currently the hottest entity in the professional wrestling business. But I will say this, if the Impact Wrestling, and the TNA, if they want to retain our services, it will cost these Anthem men, many, many dollars and it is going to cost them a percentage of the company because I have to steer the ship, I have to drive. If they do not meet my demands, then I guess that is a possibility.”
“But I would only go to that McMahon if he knew what the deal was. If he tried to double-cross me in any way, shape, or form, then, I would render his a** obsolete, and then, I would delete him! Yes,” he concluded.
