WWE News: McGregor insults hit us like a 'dull knife’ says Kofi Kingston

Kofi Kingston responds to Mcgregor’s recent digs

In recent weeks no doubt that UFC star Conor Mcgregor belittled the World Wrestling Entertainment and its big stars, including John Cena and Ric Flair. The Superstars responded to Mcgregor’s verbal body blows in Twitter   including Roman Reigns, Curtis Axel, and AJ Styles. However, One man who didn’t say anything about was John Cena, as he usually remains above controversy.

In the recent interview with Gorilla position, WWE tag team champion Kofi Kingston accused the Irish fighter who called John Cena as a big fat. He says that Conor’s comments are like third grade and it hits them like a dull knife.

“Right now what he’s  bringing is a dull knife,” Kingston told GP host James Delow

“I was a bit disappointed in the insults that he’s kind of hurled our way because he’s supposed to be this grand trash-talker, but the insults he’s been spitting, like calling John Cena a big fat something, it’s almost like a third-grade comment and I’m like come on?”

The 27-year-old, who is famed for his trash-talking outside the Octagon, has amassed a huge 1.5million followers on the social media network and the Ghanian says that Conor have a big plan behind what he’s going to say, “I’m a huge fan of Conor McGregor and his trash talk and he obviously has a plan in what he’s going to say and the way he delivers and promotes himself - it gets all eyes on him. But if he’s doing that again, and you’re supposed to be a top tier trash talker then I wanted something more.

There are rumours surrounding that Conor has been attacking WWE stars for a purpose, probably  to make a future debut in WWE. The former WWE superstar Booker T recently said that Conor would fit in the Cruiserweight division as he is riling everybody with inflammatory tweets.  Kofi backed the Hall of Famer’s decision by saying he would be loved by the fans if he makes a switch.

“I don’t know if he’s trying to get involved with WWE or not, obviously it’s something a lot of people would watch. But I would want him to bring his A game insults, because what he’s said is not compelling. I guess it’s controversial because he’s insulting us, but what we do and what they do are different. I’m a little let down and want bit more from him, but who knows if he were to come here he’d maybe step up and do that.”

He even said we’re in two different industries and it’s not like we’re in competition with each other, but he knows what he’s doing we’ll see what happens. But I know Big E would squash him like a bug.” he concluded

Kofi Kingston  and his New Day colleagues, Xavier Woods and Big E, have become the longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions in history as their stint continues in excess of 360 days.

The New day won the championship at last SummerSlam and will defend them against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson at the 2016 event on Sunday night at The Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
