Apparently, Foley picked Becky Lynch and Sheamus to win the Women’s and Men’s Royal Rumble matches respectively. Foley also revealed what he likes watching on RAW today while alluding that he will be at RAW’s 25th-anniversary episode.

In case you didn’t know…

Mick Foley is widely regarded as one of the WWE’s most important Superstars during the Attitude Era and the company’s Monday night rating war with WCW.

While Foley has now retired from the sport of professional wrestling he still keeps track of the WWE and other promotions to this date.

The heart of the matter

Mick Foley stated the following when probed about his favorites to win the Royal Rumble matches—

“This is a historic rumble, right? The first women's Royal Rumble, that's an amazing announcement. I'm picking Becky Lynch to win the women's Royal Rumble—she is just riding a real wave of momentum. The men's rumble, you don't know if it's going to be one of the really big guys, or one of those guys who has been around for a long time, (and) I'm going with Sheamus.”

Furthermore, Foley explained that he’s a big fan of The Bar and loves the work their doing on RAW today, besides also praising Drew Gulak. Foley added that The Miz and the Miztourage are highly entertaining as well.

Additionally, Foley revealed that he’ll have to clear up prior commitments he has for January 22nd, and perhaps could appear on the milestone RAW episode that night. Nevertheless, he continued that if he doesn’t make it, he’ll still be there in spirit. Foley also emphasized that the show—Monday Night RAW—changed his entire life, and throughout the years, he and his kids have always watched the show together, hence it’s always been an important part of his life.

Author’s take

Mick Foley may be spot-on with the Becky Lynch prediction, however, the Sheamus pick seems to be a long shot.

Meanwhile, it’s great to see that Foley appreciates The Miz as much as the vast majority of the hardcore professional wrestling community. Besides, it’ll be awesome to have Foley attend the milestone event of RAW. Keep your fingers crossed, folks.
