What's the story?
WWE legend Molly Holly, who recently participated in the Women's Royal Rumble caught up with Wrestling Inc. ahead of the surprise performance. She spoke to Wrestling Inc about a variety of topics.
Holly discussed which current day superstar had caught her eye. Well, it was none other than the SmackDown Live Women's Champion Charlotte Flair.
In case you didn't know...
Molly Holly was known as Mona in WCW, before she came to WWE and became a part of the Holly cousins stable. During her time in WWE, she became the Women's Champion twice and the Hardcore Champion once, as well.
Before the appearance at the Royal Rumble, that brought the crowd alive, she also appeared on an episode of Table for 3, on the WWE Network.
She was also a part of the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in 2017, when Beth Phoenix was inducted.
The heart of the matter
Holly praised Charlotte Flair for her exceptional high flying ability and even compared her skills to Universal Champion Brock Lesnar:
These are things normally done by girls when they're five-foot-one and eighty pounds. But the fact that she can do them and she's so big is remarkable. I remember the first time I saw Brock Lesnar do this top-roll thing, and I was like, 'What? Wow! But he's huge!' So that's how I feel with Charlotte.
She also mentioned that some of her favourite memories were not even being on TV, but travelling around the world and getting paid to visit destinations some others save up years to go to!
What's next?
Molly Holly trains the younger generation of stars, who want to follow in her footsteps. She still loves the wrestling business, just as much. As for Charlotte Flair, the sky is the limit for the WWE superstar.
Author's take
Molly Holly is a woman that everyone in WWE respects. Therefore we're certain that Charlotte Flair must be thrilled with the validation.
