WWE News: Natalya and Alexa Bliss exchange taunts ahead of clash at Survivor Series

What's the story?

Survivor Series is just around the corner and with the entire premise of SmackDown vs RAW, there are a number of interesting matches on show at the pay-per-view.

One of them is the clash between the two women’s champions from their respective brands as Natalya is set to face Alexa Bliss, and the pair had some choice words to say before the fight.

In case you didn't know...

While there will be the traditional 5-on-5 matches at Survivor Series, many of the champions will go head to head as well.

AJ Styles will face Brock Lesnar and even the tag team champions from the two brands will face each other at the pay-per-view.

The heart of the matter

Natalya and Bliss have been touring with their respective brands in Europe but the pair still had a go at each other.

The SmackDown Champion was in Milan, Italy but stated that she was the “best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.”

The RAW champion was in Mannheim, Germany but even Bliss was not going to let this taunt go and stated:

“Nattie, while you’re busy copying everything your uncle does. I’m being original, a real champion”

She even claimed that she had done more in one year than Natalya had accomplished in her entire life and ended by adding that on Sunday there is only one champion.

What's next?

The clash could still take a major twist as Natalya has to ensure she keeps her title from Charlotte as the pair slug it out for the championship.

Author's take

It does seem extremely odd that the WWE decided to share this video now, given that Natalya’s future at the pay-per-view is still up for debate. We have seen the WWE make last minute changes to their plans, such as Styles picking up the WWE Title, so Natalya might not be in the clear yet.

However, this is the perfect way to build things up and Bliss also had a pop at her former brand, suggesting that RAW was better -- a gesture that will certainly rile up the SmackDown champion, whoever that is on Sunday.
