WWE News: New WWE comicbooks released featuring ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and The Undertaker
What’s the story?
BOOM! Studios just released two pages from the inaugural WWE comic titled “WWE: Then. Now. Forever. #1”. These two pages play out two short stories featuring WWE legends “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and The Undertaker.
In case you didn’t know
WWE has overseen the release of many graphic novels with their Superstars as main characters, often portrayed as superheroes. Most notable of these comics are the Warrior series, featuring the Warrior character based on Ultimate Warrior, the Undertaker series, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Nash based on Kevin Nash.
This is not a new space for WWE to have their product showcased and the aforementioned comics have seen moderate success in the past.
The heart of the matter
WWE.com showcased two pages of the upcoming “WWE: Then. Now. Forever. #1” comic, which is being published by BOOM! Studios. The first issue is illustrated by Daniel Bayliss, coloured by Doug Garbark and lettered by Jim Campbell. The issue will end with two short stories featuring ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and The Undertaker, both of whom have had their own comic book representations in the past.

What’s next?
WWE will probably include more and more of both former and current Superstars to the “WWE: Then. Now. Forever.” series eventually, depending on the comic book's success. It will also help WWE reach out to the younger viewer base even more, though many adult fans are surely going to get themselves a copy too.
Author’s take
We’ll probably see a Roman Reigns solo comic book appearance sooner than later. I am excited to see if current stars like Bray Wyatt, Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss, Finn Balor and Sami Zayn amongst others will make the cut and have characters based on them.
