WWE News: Nikki Bella wants to face Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35
What's the story?
Well, this would be monumental.
Yesterday, WWE confirmed that next year's WrestleMania 35 will take place in the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, at a star-studded press conference with several big names such as Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, John Cena, Nikki Bella and Ronda Rousey all appearing onstage.
Nikki Bella posted a little sneak peak video on her YouTube channel too, and she outlined some big plans of her own for next year's event - she wants to face Ronda Rousey!
In case you didn't know...
Ronda Rousey is reportedly signed to a full-time, multi-year deal with WWE, and it looks like she'll be on the road with WWE quite a lot over the next year. Ronda Rousey's first WWE match takes place at WrestleMania 34, but the UFC star has already been confirmed for WrestleMania 35, as per yesterday's press conference.
Meanwhile, Nikki Bella returned to television at WWE's Madison Square Garden event last night after making it to the final two in the inaugural Women's Royal Rumble Match in January.
The heart of the matter
Nikki Bella spoke on The Bella Twins' YouTube channel yesterday from inside the WrestleMania 35 venue, MetLife Stadium.
The former Divas Champion spoke about her WrestleMania memories and what she'd love to do at next year's event - saying she'd love to face the former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion.
Nikki Bella then joked that no-one should tell Rousey, as she wants to keep her arms.
What's next?
Ronda Rousey will team up with fellow Olympian Kurt Angle, to face off against Stephanie McMahon and Triple H on April 8th at Wrestlemania 34 in New Orleans.
There is no word yet whether Nikki Bella will return but, with a multi-woman battle royal confirmed, there is every chance we'll see both Bella Twins at WrestleMania.
Author's take
Well, we're only weeks away from WrestleMania 34, but the build up for WrestleMania 35 is well and truly underway. This match would be huge - but you can bet other female Superstars will also be queuing up to challenge Rousey at the Grandest Stage of Them All!
