WWE News: Nikki Cross makes long-awaited debut on Monday Night Raw
The Twisted Sister of NXT has been one of the most exciting superstars to come out of the yellow brand in years. Nikki Cross has gotten onto the side of the WWE Universe through her sheer insanity and need to "play" with her opponents.
Back in December, it was revealed that Cross, along with Lars Sullivan, EC3, Lacey Evans, and Heavy Machinery would be making the jump to the main roster. She already appeared on SmackDown Live last year, when the WWE was on their UK tour. Cross challenged then SmackDown Women's Champion Becky Lynch to a match but was eventually tapped out by the Disarm-Her.
Though she failed, she got a great reaction, and it was clear that in no time she'd be finally joining the main roster. Well, tonight was that night.
After antagonizing Bayley and Natalya, who they claimed were afterthoughts now that Ronda Rousey and Sasha Banks are taking the main stage for the women's division at the Royal Rumble, the Riott Squad challenged them to a six-woman tag team match. Bayley and Natalya needed to find a partner before the match began.
As Bayley and Natalya stood outside of the ring, some familiar music rang out, and Nikki Cross emerged, much to the surprise of the WWE Universe. The Riott Squad wasn't exactly thrilled, including Ruby Riott, who seemed terrified at the thought of having to deal with Nikki Cross again. Cross and Riott had a great rivalry near the end of the Squad's leader's time in NXT, and she seemed to be reliving some of those moments when Cross's music hit.
Thanks to Cross, the Riott Squad were dealt with, and Natalya and Bayley may have made a new, and psychotic, friend.
Michael Cole made it clear that this didn't mean Cross was primarily a member of Raw, and could very well end up on SmackDown even after this appearance. We'll have to wait and see what's in store for the Twisted Sister.
