What’s the story?

On a recent edition of his podcast X-Pac 12360, X-Pac gave his take on RAW 25.

While X-Pac asserted his elation at RAW 25 being a success, he added that he wasn’t happy with RAW going to commercial during Scott Hall’s entrance. Besides, X-Pac also revealed his Mount Rushmore of WWE.

In case you didn’t know…

The WWE recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of Monday Night RAW—with the episode airing from two venues namely the Manhattan Center and the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Several WWE legends appeared at both venues, with D-Generation X and a few nWo members reuniting at the Manhattan Center.

The heart of the matter

X-Pac emphasized that he was happy about RAW 25 being a success, and addressed how the show cut to commercial during Scott Hall’s entrance at the Manhattan Center—

“Yes, that was totally the opposite of ideal to go to a commercial at that point, (and) that is what you would do…business-wise that would be the spot to take it….if you needed to, and they needed to they needed to go to break…that was the spot.”

Furthermore, X-Pac alluded that despite Hall’s entrance getting a great reaction from the fans in attendance, the WWE was perhaps forced to go to commercial owing to time constraints on the star-studded episode. X-Pac also added that he'd likely exclude Ric Flair from WWE's Mount Rushmore--owing to the fact that Flair spent a better part of his prime in the NWA and WCW. He opined that WWE's Mount Rushmore includes Superstar Billy Graham, Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan and either Steve Austin or The Rock.

What’s next?

X-Pac presently performs on the indie professional wrestling circuit, as does Scott Hall who also moonlights as an authority figure in the UK pro-wrestling scene.

The 25th-anniversary edition of Monday Night RAW was incredibly well-received by the fans, garnering 4.53 million viewers.

Author’s take

Honestly speaking, X-Pac does make a valid point, as Scott Hall was one of the biggest stars in the WWE and WCW back in the day, which in turn could at the very least warrant an elaborate entrance that’s broadcasted on RAW.

Nevertheless, with his entrance being cut short in the live broadcast, perhaps Hall was done a disservice. Nevertheless, one ought to understand that the WWE featured several legends and current elite Superstars on RAW 25, and still managed to do a great job of showcasing each and every Superstar to a T.
