WWE News: NXT stable appears to receive a new name
What's the story?
Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, and Bobby Fish invaded NXT and it looks like they mean business. This new stable appears to have received a name from WWE: "The Undisputed Era."
In case you didn't know...
WWE is no stranger to plucking the top names from Ring Of Honor because they've done it before. Whether you're talking about CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, or Sami Zayn, it seems like WWE really likes recruiting ROH's best talent.
They recently acquired Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O'Reilly, and the trio have made it very clear they're going to run roughshod over the NXT Universe.
Fish and O'Reilly held the ROH World Tag Team Championships three times whereas Adam Cole is a three-time ROH World Heavyweight Champion himself. But even though they're under the WWE banner it appears their strategy will remain the same.
The heart of the matter
Sometimes, WWE accidentally leaks information via their online shop and it appears like it might have happened again. A new t-shirt is up on the official WWE shop for Fish, O'Reilly, and Cole and their stable name might have been revealed via the online listing for their merchandise.
The three ROH alumni are listed as "The Undisputed Era" on the WWE Shop which is a pretty cool name, to be honest. The shirt also says "CFO" on it and there is a nice logo on the sleeve which most likely stands for Cole, O'Reilly, and Fish.
Their tagline also appears to be "Shock The System" which is exactly what they did during the closing moments of NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III when attacking Drew McIntyre after his NXT Title win.
What's next?
Adam Cole very well might be in line for an NXT Title shot very soon while Fish and O'Reilly could be a great set of challenges for the NXT Tag Team Titles.
These three are amazing talents and it's great to have them in the WWE Universe. Only time will tell how far their stars will shine in WWE after this. But it looks like they're off to a very good start.
Author's take
Adam Cole was one of those guys WWE has wanted for a long time and they finally got him. Alongside Fish and O'Reilly these guys just might present an unstoppable force which might even be too big for NXT already.
That being said, if these three guys popped up during a championship at Survivor Series and destroyed everyone I wouldn't complain. It would be a lot like how The Shield first made their emergence into the WWE Universe and all three of these guys have all the potential in the world to be just as big as Reigns, Rollins, or Ambrose if WWE uses them correctly.
