WWE News: NXT stars make main roster debut before WWE SmackDown
What's the story?
As announced by Mr. McMahon in late December last year, a number of NXT stars are set to debut on the main roster soon and fans in attendance at WWE SmackDown got to see two NXT stars wrestle in their first main roster match even though it was just a dark match. This follows two NXT stars wrestling before WWE RAW on Monday.
In case you didn't know...
In the dark matches ahead of RAW on Monday, WWE NXT stars EC3 and Lacey Evans made their WWE main roster debuts in dark matches.
'The Lady of NXT' Lacey Evans faced the 'Queen of Harts' Natalya. The match ended with Lacey Evans tapping out to the Sharpshooter.
EC3 faced the holder of WWE's longest losing streak - Curt Hawkins - and duly beat him without breaking much of a sweat. In fact, when RAW came on last Monday, EC3 chants could still be heard in the arena faintly.
The heart of the matter
The dark match that took place ahead of WWE SmackDown saw NXT stars Heavy Machinery make their debut on the main roster. Otis Dozovic and Tucker Knight faced the team of The Colons - Primo and Epico.
Heavy Machinery duly beat Primo and Epico and that can only bode well for their future on the main roster.
What's next?
At this point, it looks like EC3 and Lacey Evans are going to Monday Night RAW while Nikki Cross, Tucker Knight, and Otis Dozovic are seemingly headed to WWE SmackDown Live.
The only NXT call up who we have seen nothing of on the main roster until now is Lars Sullivan. It looks like WWE may have some big plans for Lars and he could possibly debut in the Royal Rumble.
Which WWE superstar will debut in which brand? Let us know in the comments.
