WWE News: Lacey Evans' home damaged during Hurricane Irma
What’s the story?
Millions of people were affected by the destruction of Hurricane Irma including NXT Superstar Lacey Evans, whose home suffered sever water damage.
Despite the damage she suffered, Evans took to Instagram and said she was going to be positive and move forward in light of the tragedy.
In case you didn't know...
Evans signed with WWE in 2016 and has made sporadic appearances on NXT since her debut. She also took part in the Mae Young Classic and made it to the second round before losing to Toni Storm.
The heart of the matter...
Evans posted on Instagram that she could replace majority of the items damaged from Hurricane Irma, but said that the damage to some of her photographs were irreplaceable. One of the reasons she values the pictures so much was because they were all she had left of her late father.
After the story regarding her home broke, she took to Twitter to say that her family was safe and that the problem with her home was nothing more than an obstacle she was going to overcome by staying positive.
She would express her thanks to friends, family, and fans for their support and kind words as she works to move on from Hurricane Irma’s turmoil.
What’s next?
As stated before, Evans has been making sporadic appearances on NXT since her debut in 2016 and with the conclusion of the Mae Young Classic, the only place to find her will may be Wednesdays on the WWE Network.
She was one of the few women who were featured in a separate interview during the Mae Young Bracketology, so there could be something big for her down the line, considering that 'The' Brian Kendrick and TJP were chosen for separate interviews during the bracketology of the Cruiserweight Classic and both went on to become Cruiserweight Champions.
Author’s take
Glad to see Evans has kept her spirits up following the destruction of Hurricane Irma. Hopefully, things look up for her as she continues to progress in her professional wrestling career.
