WWE News: Update on original plans for Sasha Banks vs Charlotte at Hell In A Cell
Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair created history at Hell In A Cell, by becoming the first ever women to step inside the demonic structure and be a part of the main event at a PPV. Charlotte Flair emerged victorious after a brutal battle, and many questions emerged regarding the finish of the match.
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sasha was supposed to retain the title and put an end to the feud, while Charlotte would move on to Bayley. However, Vince reportedly changed his mind and had Charlotte win the title. Apparently, Vince changed his mind about the finish, a day before the event and only a few people close to him, were aware of it.
To add to that, the top officials told everybody else about a different finish at the Saturday night production meeting.
Apart from that, Meltzer was told that there is a reason for the change, but it had nothing to do with the heat on Sasha, or Sasha being hurt. It was also said that Charlotte’s win, had nothing to do with WWE keeping her 13-0 PPV win streak.
Charlotte’s streak is just something that happened and is not something that has been a long-term plan.
It can be definitely said that Sasha is not injured, as she worked at the WWE live event in Germany, where she battled Charlotte in a losing effort.
The decision of the women main-eventing, was also last minute after Vince was against it. However, after much persuasion from Triple H and almost all of the WWE creative team, Vince agreed.

WWE officials reportedly also took two major spots out of the match, because of the concern that Sasha would suffer an injury. Here is what Ric Flair revealed about those spots when he was a guest on Busted Open Radio this week:
"They took two huge spots out of the match, during the match, because they were afraid Sasha [Banks] was going to get hurt. If the original plan had been, there were two things and I don't want to say what they were, but you can only imagine. One of them involved a moonsault."
