WWE News: Paige comments on her WWE return
What's the story?
On this week's episode of Raw, the WWE Universe witnessed the epic return of Paige after an absence of more than one year. Paige and her new stablemates, Mandy Leon and Sonya Deville from NXT, assaulted Bayley, Sasha Banks, Mickie James and Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss.
Hours later, Paige took to her official Twitter account to comment on her return to the WWE.
In case you didn't know...
Paige's last appearance (prior to this week's return on Monday Night Raw) was in 2016 when she teamed up with Sasha Banks on Raw to score a victory over former WWE Women's Champion Charlotte Flair and her accomplice Dana Brooke.
Paige then took a hiatus from the WWE due to an injury, which was soon followed by a failed drug test that led to a 30 day suspension. Earlier this year in the month of September, Paige underwent neck surgery and was cleared to return to in-ring action.
Paige was also the coach for her new stablemates Mandy and Sonya, back in WWE Tough Enough.
The heart of the matter
On this week's episode of Raw, former WWE Divas Champion Paige made her return to the company. She didn't make it to the ring alone, as she brought two of NXT's top stars, Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose.
The trio then brutally assaulted Raw's top superstars such as Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Mickie James. Current Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss also suffered the wrath of these three women, as they established themselves as the newest heel in the WWE roster.
Following her return, Paige made it perfectly clear that she is back in the WWE and her message was sent loud and clear to the rest of the WWE women's division. She also welcomed her new associates Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville to the WWE via her tweet.
What's next?
It is pretty much clear that the trio of Paige, Mandy, and Deville will play a huge part in the Raw Women's division. They have certainly put the entire division on notice following their tremendous debut this week.
Author's Take
I think this stable will bring a new and a fresh vibe to the WWE because the WWE Universe has never witnessed a female heel stable previously in the WWE.
