From the WWE Rumor Mill: Paige could return at Survivor Series
What's the story?
Paige has been out of action for a long time and although she really hasn't left the public view, the former Divas Champion has been unable to compete due to neck issues coupled with a scoliosis issue.
But now that WWE'S Anti-Diva seems to be working out at the WWE Performace Center and showing up to Raw it looks like it will only be a matter of time before the WWE Universe will be seeing her again.
WWE.com has put up a story which could lead some to believe they're prepping fans for a surprise return and some people reading between the lines have assumed they're talking about Paige.
In case you didn't know...
If you could put all of the controversies on the backburner for a moment and analyze Paige for her in-ring work alone you would be hardpressed to find a better WWE Superstar. Her legacy in the pro wrestling business is so dense that it even warranted the upcoming "Fighting With My Family" film from WWE Studios and Seven Bucks Productions.
Now it looks like the first-ever NXT Women's Champion is set to return to action and it could be an amazing experience if WWE books it properly.
The Heart of the matter...
WWE.com recently put up and article about the Women's Survivor Series match in Houston. Since Charlotte Flair picked up the SmackDown Women's Title from Natalya this apparently didn't automatically place The Queen Of Harts into The Nature Girl's vacant slot.
It is said a decision will be made about the fifth and final member of Team SmackDown on the night of Survivor Series. Since practically every woman on the SmackDown roster is already booked for the event (except Natalya) the assumption is that WWE will bring in someone on board. They would have just announced Natalya as the fifth member if that was not the case.
Nikki Bella isn't out of the picture, after all, she was unable to compete in the Women's Survivor Series match last year and was ironically replaced by Natalya who is the same woman seemingly being snubbed this year.
But many people are under the assumption this announcement would fall perfectly in line with Paige's imminent return.
What's next?
It's been rumoured for a while that Paige would return to the Blue Brand. Seeing how Raw just got Asuka many people including Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline have speculated this would be the case.
Author's take
Whenever Paige does return to WWE, it needs to be a big deal because the last thing WWE needs is another lacklustre return.
Survivor Series would be as good of a place as any to make that happen. I just can't help but worry her sizzling heat will soon cool down if WWE doesn't do something interesting with her immediately.
