WWE News: Paige injured at RAW house show causing match stoppage
What's the story?
Paige just returned after Survivor Series and she brought some friends with her in the form of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville to form Absolution. But as the trio of fierce females tangled with Mickie James, Sasha Banks, and Bayley at the Uniondale, New York house show on Wednesday night things went wrong for the Anti-Diva.
Paige was injured, causing the match to be stopped, and medical staff needed to come out. She could thankfully walk herself to the back, but a stretcher was still called out for her during this scary ordeal.
In case you didn't know...
Paige just came back from a rather serious neck surgery that caused her to miss several months of action in the ring. But now that she's back, Paige seems to be more focused than ever as the leader of Absolution. But unfortunately, injuries in pro wrestling never seem to care what kind of streak or program you're on when they rear their ugly heads.
The heart of the matter
You could hear a pin drop in the Nassau Coliseum during this scary moment after Paige took a bump the wrong way in the ring. She laid there in pain as medical staff circled her and her fellow pro wrestlers could only look on and hope for the best.
It would be hard to imagine what was going through James, Banks, or Bayey's minds but it would probably be nothing compared to the thoughts of uncertainty swirling in the heads of Mandy Rose or Sonya Deville. After all, if Paige is out of action, then what would become of Absolution?
What's next?
Since Paige was able to walk out on her own, let's just hope she'll be okay. After all, this would be an awful time for Paige to be injured because she has a long future ahead of her in WWE.
Author's take
Injuries are always scary in pro wrestling because you can never tell when they will happen. Let's hope Paige is okay because not only would it be an awful thing for her career to lose her, but for the Raw Women's Division as well.
