WWE News: Paige makes her first public appearance after controversial scandal
What’s the story?
It seems former WWE Divas Champion Paige is finally getting over the demons of her recent past as she was spotted at an Imperio Lucha Libre event in Lima, Peru, for the first time since her private photos were made public on the internet without her consent.
Below is a picture of Paige and her fiancee Alberto Del Rio from the event:
In case you didn’t know....
Well, you obviously are well-versed with what Paige has been through in the past couple of weeks. An unknown hacker released a host of private photos and videos of the superstar online that also included Xavier Woods and former WWE Superstar Brad Maddox.
The internet hasn’t stopped buzzing ever since and the whole ordeal has taken quite a toll on her mental and emotional well-being. Paige’s parents have revealed that her daughter is susceptible to suicidal thoughts and she needs everyone’s support at this hour. The relieving news is that WWE will not punish her or Xavier Woods over the matter as it’s not their fault.
Paige, WWE, and all parties involved just want the whole situation to cool down before she can make a return after she successfully recuperates from her neck injury.

The heart of the matter
Paige was seen at the event with the fans cheering her fiancee on while he wrestled in the main event against three other competitors. According to reports from the show, she was in high spirits and was even acknowledged during the show.
It’s good to see her getting back to her normal self with the unwavering support of Del Rio.
What’s next?
As mentioned above, WWE had a meeting during RAW to discuss Paige and Woods’ future and came to a conclusion that they would be let off scot free. Paige is currently nursing a neck injury and is expected to back in a couple of months, presumably after WrestleMania.
The fans in Brooklyn chanted for the absent superstar on the recent episode of RAW and as expected, WWE effortlessly edited them out in their videos. Nevertheless, all the recent controversy has amped up the hype around her eventual return and we can only hope WWE uses her well and pushes her higher up the card
Author’s take
I belong to the #IStandWithPaige bandwagon and believe that she needs all the support to come out of this stronger. While I also admit some of the banter is absolutely hilarious, it’s way past its expiration date and now the time is to get behind her as she is mentally quite a fragile human being.
Coming out to events with Del Rio will only help her cope with her feeling and get back to normalcy and we wish her all the best on her future as she prepares to make waves on her inevitable return to the squared circle.
