WWE News: Paul Heyman responds to Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg Survivor Series main event

Heyman assures that Lesnar will victimize Goldberg at the Royal Rumble

In an exclusive interview with Michael Cole on the WWE Network, Paul Heyman finally broke his silence over Brock’s humiliating defeat at the hands of Goldberg at Survivor Series. Paul Heyman seemed to be taking the defeat too heavily as he broke into tears at one point during the interview that you can watch below.

He acknowledged the fact that both he and his client, Brock Lesnar had taken Goldberg for granted. He revealed that Brock felt it would be one of the easiest things to take out an old man who hadn’t wrestled a match in 12 years.

Calling Goldberg a ‘relic’, Heyman took accountability, saying that they thought it would have been the easiest payday of Lesnar’s career to take out Goldberg.

Heyman disclosed that Brock had suffered broken ribs as a result of two monstrous spears and was embarrassed by the outcome of the highly anticipated matchup. He pointed out that the ‘Beast Incarnate’ was ‘licking his wounds’ and would emerge out of this stronger and fiercer.

Heyman assured the WWE Universe that Brock was very motivated to avenge his loss and made it clear that Brock would be on Goldberg’s tail on his return.

Heyman also went on to drop a bomb when he announced that Brock Lesnar would also enter the Royal Rumble match. After Survivor Series, Goldberg claimed that he had another title run left in him and announced that he would participate in the Royal Rumble.

Heyman’s announcement a week later almost ensures the fact that the two behemoths will cross paths at the Rumble. Lesnar will have Goldberg on his mind as he attempts to redeem his reputation as ‘The Conqueror’.

The match with Goldberg has brought Lesnar crashing down from the pedestal that WWE had put him on for the past couple of years. Brock is the man who broke the Undertaker’s streak, the man who took out John Cena with 16 suplexes in one of the most one-sided SummerSlam matches ever.

It took Goldberg two spears and one Jackhammer to take down the Beast. All of this happened only in 85 seconds.
