WWE News: Paul Heyman responds to Daniel Bryan's Advocate parody from SmackDown
What’s the story?
Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles parodied Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman’s promo from Monday Night Raw and "The Advocate" sent some interesting tweets directed at both men.
In case you didn’t know...
Lesnar and Heyman appeared on Monday Night Raw to address Styles for their upcoming champion vs champion match at Survivor Series, where he praised Styles for his talent, but reminded everyone that Lesnar always comes out on top.
The heart of the matter
Bryan kicked off SmackDown by addressing the fans and hyping up the matches scheduled for Survivor Series and introduced Styles as the new WWE Champion.
After Styles made it to the ring, Bryan offered to be Styles' 'Advocate', which Styles accepted. Bryan started off parodying Heyman but eventually became more serious and claimed that Styles would outlast Lesnar.
Heyman responded with two tweets directed at Styles, Bryan and the WWE Universe. Heyman’s first tweet said that he had little respect for Bryan after his imitation on SmackDown.
The second tweet was aimed at Styles and the WWE Universe where Heyman explained Lesnar’s role during promos, and told Styles that Bryan was misleading him. He also claimed that he would continue to praise Styles after he is beaten by Lesnar.
What’s next?
Lesnar is not expected to make an appearance on SmackDown Live, so Lesnar and Styles won’t be seeing each other until the Survivor Series pay-per-view this Sunday.
This will be Lesnar and Styles’ first match ever, but many fans are expecting this to be one of the best Lesnar matches in recent memory, as well as one of the best main events of the year.
Author’s take
Lesnar’s been unbeatable since winning the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 33 and wrestling fans will be on the edge of their seat to see if the Beast Incarnate falls to the Phenomenal One.
