WWE News: Paul Heyman talks about possible opponents for Brock Lesnar

The imperious pairing of Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar

The Beast may be busy preparing for his UFC 200 fight against Mark Hunt, but his mouthpiece, Paul Heyman is paving the way for his WWE future once he returns at SummerSlam.

Talking to ESPN to promote Lesnar’s UFC adventure and being on the cover of WWE 2K17, Paul Heyman had this to say when quizzed about who he would like Lesnar to face in the WWE.

“Obviously, whoever holds the WWE world heavyweight championship. Once you get past that, just look at the NXT roster and you’ll see guys like Samoa Joe and Finn Balor and all this talent that is coming up and about to break into the main roster.

I would love to see these guys. I would love to see modern-day Brock Lesnar against modern-day Randy Orton. And I still don’t think the public is tired of seeing Lesnar against John Cena“

Heyman was also complimentary of NXT, stating that the WWE had positioned itself pretty well for the upcoming brand split with talent from the developmental brand ripe and ready to make the step-up into the main roster.

He also mentioned that Roman Reigns did the right thing by owning up to his mistake and publicly apologizing.
