Who wouldn't want to witness Pete Dunne wrestle more often?

What's the story?

WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne was interviewed recently by The Mirror to promote WWE's current UK Tour, which has been taking place since Wednesday,

Dunne was a very insightful interviewee as he discussed multiple things. One topic that came up was rumours of a potential WWE UK Division Show occurring on a regular basis.

In case you didn't know..

In January, WWE decided to expand its UK market by creating a Championship for the region. A 16-man Tournament decided the winner and the inaugural champion was Tyler Bate.

Pete Dunne became the 2nd-ever WWE UK Champion when he defeated the inaugural champion Bate at NXT Takeover: Chicago back in May.

The villain Dunne, who calls himself The Bruiserweight, has defended his title a few times since then, most recently against Wolfgang on this present UK Tour.

Since January, the UK Division stars have only wrestled on NXT (sporadically) and the WWE UK Tours, which only happen twice a year.

Rumours have been spreading that WWE are considering a possible UK Division show. It would cost a lot of money for WWE to do something like this in the UK, which could be a problem, as the company have cut back financially lately.

WWE are currently having their second WWE UK Tour of the year, and the UK Division stars have been wrestling on the live event shows along with the RAW and SmackDown Superstars.

The heart of the matter

When questioned by The Mirror on what he knows about the speculation regarding WWE possibly putting together a regular WWE UK Division Show, which could be shown on the WWE Network, Pete Dunne stated that he had not 'heard anything' from the company about this matter.

Dunne, however, pointed out that WWE have made it common knowledge that they aim 'to do a full-time UK brand show'. Dunne remains 'hopeful' that this will happen.

The Bruiserweight also made clear that this would be his 'ideal situation', as he wants to do something new by building up the UK Brand in WWE, not join NXT or the main roster. He wants to make the UK 'proud'.

What's next?

WWE's Tour of Britain will continue until November 9th, with some of the UK Division Superstars set to feature on all of the live events.

Both RAW and SmackDown will be aired from Manchester, England, this week. We may soon find out whether or not WWE will be holding frequent UK Division shows.

Author's take

As someone who lives in Dublin, Ireland, just across the pond from Britain, I would be thrilled to see WWE do a regular UK brand show.

The talents they have in the Division right now are excellent, with Champ Pete Dunne, Tyler Bates, Trent Seven, Wolfgang and Jordan Devlin being guys that have stood out to me.

Therefore, a weekly or monthly Network show would be awesome.

I believe WWE might do it, but if they do I think we will not see it until we are into 2018.
