WWE News: Pete Dunne uses small child as weapon at indie event
What’s the story?
As reported by Give Me Sport, WWE UK Championship Tournament runner-up Pete Dunne has made the headlines for using a small child as a weapon during an independent event. The incident took place in Glasgow, Scotland where Dunne went one on one with Joe Coffey.
In case you didn’t know...
Pete Dunne was one of the standout performers of the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament, with his fiery nature driving him towards success in the competition. As such, many fans have been tipping him for success on the main roster within the company with the likes of Triple H singing his praises over the last few months.

As seen in the embedded tweet, Dunne goes over to the child with Coffey sat prone on a chair. Dunne picks him up and runs towards Coffey, with the child in question kicking Joe in the face. Then, in true heel fashion, Dunne lifts the boy onto his shoulders and pretends to give him an F5 before slowly lowering him back down to the ground.

What’s next?
Dunne is widely expected to take the WWE UK Title off of Tyler Bate at some point in the near future, however, given the unknown state of the supposed weekly series that may take a while. For now, Dunne will continue to tear it up on the independent scene while simultaneously popping up on NXT every so often to remind the WWE Universe just how good he is.
Author’s take
It’s great to see Dunne doing things to make himself stand out because he has the potential to be a top heel in the WWE. We’d love to see a new kind of Evolution stable be created, led by Triple H, however, we aren’t sure whether or not Vince would put Dunne on the main roster or keep him down in NXT.
