WWE News: Popular current champion threatens to go off script
What's the story?
In case you haven't been checking Twitter out lately, Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey are turning it up a notch in their bid to increase the hype for the Raw Women's title feud.
The Irish Lassskicker and The Man embroiled in an expletive-laden back-and-forth that certainly didn't get the WWE Management happy.
Ronda showed no respect to kayfabe as she 'threatened' to go off script on Lynch when the two meet again, presumably on the upcoming episode of Raw.
In case you didn't know...
The general perception heading into WrestleMania 35 is that the potential Triple Threat match for the Raw Women's title featuring Lynch, Rousey and Charlotte Flair will close out the show. The storyline is currently the most engaging angle on WWE TV and the company too, have been giving it prominent screen time backed up with decent booking.
This past week on Raw, Rousey 'dropped' the WWE Raw Women's Championship while Lynch was ''arrested'. Charlotte Flair cut a promo on SmackDown Live and did her bit to further the feud too.
Lynch should ideally be added to the match in the coming weeks, but don't expect it to happen smoothly with Stephanie McMahon in the picture. As for the competitors, Lynch and Rousey absolutely hate each other at this point and a meeting could end up in a pull-up brawl with the entire roster out to separate the two. In this case, it could be three with Charlotte also in the mix.
The heart of the matter
The exchange between Lynch and Rousey all started when the Irish Superstar demanded the Former UFC Champion to go and get her belt back so that she can beat her for it. Don't miss the mugshots:
Rousey replied with this:
Okay, now that's Rousey's best comeback ever. Lynch fired back and gave us another exhibition for her solid photoshop skills by putting Rousey's face on Tommy Wiseau's body:
And that was the trigger for the dirty tweets to follow:
Lynch one-upped Rousey with this:
You don't get a woman's husband into the argument and expect everything to be alright. Rousey lost it and vowed to beat the living s*** out of Lynch whenever they face off next, irrespective of the script:
What's next?
That should be it for this thread as WWE were reportedly not happy with the language used in the aforementioned tweets. However, we're loving every bit of the feud, both on screen and on social media. More of the same WWE!
