WWE News: Possible plans for former NXT Women's Champion
One of the most popular talents in WWE NXT is Bayley. Although portraying the gimmick of a fun-loving, doe eyed fan girl, Bayley has silenced many critics with her incredible wrestling abilities. She made her NXT debut in 2013 and defeated Sasha Banks to capture the NXT Women’s Championship, within 2 years of her debut. After holding the title for 223 days, she lost it to Asuka at NXT Takeover : Dallas in April, 2016.
A regular viewer of NXT must have realized that Bayley has been sidelined from the Championship picture for the time being. Asuka will be squaring off against Nia Jax at June 8th NXT Takeover instead of Bayley. Allwrestlingnews.com reports that, this situation doesn’t refer to a bad future for Bayley in NXT. Actually, backstage officials have sketched big plans for her.
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bayley is not scheduled to have any match at the upcoming NXT Takeover event. Although, she is rumored to face the winner of the match between Asuka and Nia Jax, for the Championship in future.
Several wrestling fans want to see Bayley compete in the main roster of WWE. But, it seems that she won’t be called up for the main league anytime soon. Officials feel that Bayley’s absence will create a void in NXT roster, as she is one of the most popular members of the brand.
