WWE News: Randy Orton adds to his impressive Survivor Series statistics
What's the story?
Randy Orton has blazed an impressive trail for himself in pro wrestling and it looks like he's not done yet. In this year's Survivor Series, he added another incredible statistic to his list of achievements as The Viper recorded a record number of Survivor Series eliminations.
In case you didn't know...
Randy Orton is a shoo-in Hall Of Famer and he has left his mark on the pro wrestling business in a big way. Not only is he the youngest WWE Champion in history, but he continues to bring excellence to the ring whenever he has the chance to wrestle.
It's no secret how big of an impact The Viper has made during his career and at Survivor Series he took his legacy a step further.
The heart of the matter
Although he was eliminated at Survivor Series, the voices in Randy Orton's head counselled him and understood what he needed to do. Orton accumulated his 15th Survivor Series elimination which means he now holds the record for most Survivor Series eliminations in WWE history.
Some of Randy Orton's victims include legends and WWE Hall Of Famers like Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley, and Edge, which is a pretty impressive list.
If you add in names like Christian, Rob Van Dam, Batista, Dolph Ziggler, Mark Henry, Jack Swagger, Chris Jericho, and Alberto Del Rio and you've got a roster good enough to start your own all-star wrestling promotion.
What's next?
Randy Orton might be getting up there in years but he seems to only get better with time. He has shown no sign of slowing down and could have a decade left in his career.
It wouldn't be surprising to see Orton add to this impressive statistic and find himself in a position where people will be chasing this untouchable number for years to come as he keeps putting people away every November with an RKO outta nowhere.
Author's take
Randy Orton is one of the best in the business and it shows by the way WWE has been able to use him in so many outstanding ways through the years. He's game for anything from putting someone over to having his forehead legitimately split open by a Brock Lesnar elbow. Kudos to The Viper for this outstanding notch in his belt.
