WWE News: Randy Orton vs Brock Lesnar rematch announced
At SummerSlam 2016, Randy Orton squared-off against Brock Lesnar in a match which might’ve been one of the biggest shoot-style matches we’ve ever seen in WWE history. After suplexing Orton around the ring, Lesnar started hitting him on the head with his elbows. Lesnar’s legitimate elbow shots were so strong that they cut open Orton’s head and he started bleeding like a stuck pig as a result.
A pool of blood gathered around Orton’s head, thus ending the match with Lesnar winning by a Technical Knockout (TKO); however, this did not stop Lesnar from attacking him again. Several referees got involved and tried to stop him, but Lesnar hit one of them, thus making Smackdown’s Commissioner, Shane McMahon, come out to the ring to check on Orton and control the situation, who himself got F5’ed by the Beast.
Orton received ten staples on his head and Lesnar was charged with a fine of $500 by RAW’s Commissioner, Stephanie McMahon. Everybody in the WWE Universe wondered whether a rematch will take place or not, and if it does, then when? The answer to this question came out when Chicago’s Allstate Arena announced on their Facebook page that Randy Orton vs. Brock Lesnar will take place at the WWE Live Event on Saturday, September 24th, one day before RAW’s brand-exclusive PPV, Clash of Champions.
