WWE News: Raw's Survivor Series teams have been confirmed
What's the story?
It was a packed episode of Monday Night Raw that needed to include all of the big announcements ahead of this weekend's Survivor Series event and it appears that WWE might have been able to squeeze them all in.
In case you didn't know...
This year's Survivor Series will see traditional elimination matches between the men, women and tag teams from the Raw and SmackDown rosters, as well as matches between Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura, Ronda Rousey will battle Becky Lynch, AOP go up against The Bar and Brock Lesnar takes on AJ Styles.
All matches on the show will be Raw vs SmackDown apart from Mustafa Ali challenging Buddy Murphy for the Cruiserweight Championship.
The heart of the matter
This week's Raw kicked off with a battle royale to determine the team captains of the Tag Team elimination match at Survivor Series and even though Braun Strowman destroyed the superstars in the ring before the match could end, there was a rematch later in the show.
It was Chad Gable and Bobby Roode who won the match and will now captain the team of The Ascension, Lucha House Party, The Revival, and The B-Team.
The men's Survivor Series team was confirmed as Finn Balor was added by Stephanie McMahon after an impressive victory over Dolph Ziggler. Bobby Lashley then took the final spot following his count out victory over Elias.
The women main evented this week's Raw as Alexa Bliss announced the women's Survivor Series team which consisted of Natalya, Tamina, Mickie James, Nia Jax, and Ruby Riott. It is an odd team since Natalya is the only member of the team who is a face, but it seems to be the one that has been agreed on for now.
What's next?
Survivor Series takes place this Sunday night live from Los Angeles and the main focus on every superstars' mind is the fight for brand dominance.
