WWE News: RAW Superstar says she wants to face Ronda Rousey
What's the story?
RAW superstar Natalya recently spoke to Joe.ie about a variety of WWE-related subjects. I'd like to thank Wrestling Inc. for the heads up.
When asked about what she still wants to do in the company, Natalya mentioned that she would love to work with girls she's not wrestled thus far. Among the names she mentioned were Ronda Rousey and Sasha Banks in singles matches.
In case you didn't know...
Ronda Rousey came in from UFC with much fanfare recently, making her WWE debut at WrestleMania. She had a great match where she teamed up with Kurt Angle to defeat Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a mixed tag match on the grandest stage in sports entertainment.
Natalya has been portayed as Ronda Rousey's friend on screen. This stems from their real life friendship and the fact that Natalya played a big role in teaching Rousey the basics of sports entertainment.
The heart of the matter
In addition to speaking about facing Rousey, Natalya mentioned how Rousey inspired her, a veteran, to be better:
She makes it really hard not to like her. She's a good friend of mine. I'm impressed by her on so many levels. Her work ethic, her attitude, her drive, her determination to be innovative and different but to still stick to her roots. But she's still really humble. I like being around her. When I train with her and work with her, she makes me wanna be better.
Natalya also mentioned how happy she was to finally become a RAW superstar:
I'm excited to be drafted over to Raw, it's a fresh new start. Overall, I'm excited. As long as the fans feel my enthusiasm, we're all on the same page together.
What's next?
It's not known what Natalya's role at Money in the Bank will be. Could she qualify for one of the places and win the big prize? Could she cash it in during the big Rousey vs. Jax match?
Author's take
I'm sure Natalya and Rousey are destined to clash down the line. There's no other reason the two would be shown as being the best of friends.
