What's the story?

The expected happened this week on Raw as Roman Reigns got a rousing reception upon his return to WWE TV. While he was greeted to reverberating cheers all throughout the segment, there was one moment when the fans inside the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA vociferously booed.

However, it was not against Reigns but in support of him. Wondering what happened? Read on...

In case you didn't know...

The former WWE Universal Champion revealed that his leukemia was now in remission and that he was ready to get back to the usual WWE grind.

He shared an emotional hug with Rollins on his way back to the locker room which was devoid of the presence of Dean Ambrose. Reigns along with Rollins would, however, save the Lunatic Fringe from a beatdown later on in the night, which potentially hinted towards another Shield reunion.

Back to Reigns' announcement segment...

The heart of the matter

During Reigns' promo on Raw, there was a point when he spoke about his insecurities about disclosing his struggles with cancer. It was during this time when the fans started booing.

WrestlingInc has revealed that the boos were directed to a fan who yelled 'you suck' when there was a moment of silence. The fans went off on the unruly fan as they first jeered the fan before chanting for Roman, who continued with his announcement.

The fans who watched the show at home were naturally confused by the boos as the reception Reigns got was overwhelmingly positive from the get-go. It was all just for an attention-seeking fan after all!

What's next?

Reigns is expected to rekindle his alliance with Rollins and Ambrose for a possible 8-man tag team match against the heel team of Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, and Elias at Fastlane 2019. Braun Strowman could be added as a temporary member of the Shield to even out the teams.

The big question, however, pertains to WrestleMania 35. Who will Reigns face at WrestleMania 35? Let us know your picks and opinions in the comments section below.
