WWE News: Reason behind Hideo Itami's delayed return revealed
Kenta Kobayashi, popularly known by WWE fans as Hideo Itami, debuted in WWE at NXT TakeOver: Fatal 4-Way on September 11, 2014. His stellar performance and surprising agility gained him a huge place in the hearts of hardcore NXT fans. Before he could make his main roster debut, Itami suffered a serious shoulder injury and was sidelined with injury on May 20, 2015.
Though the recovery for his shoulder injury was estimated to take 6-8 months initially, Itami has not yet made his return. It has been over a year since he was sidelined with injury and several speculations about his return and status as a performer have started making their rounds.
Allwrestingnews reports that Triple H has put an end to those speculations by providing an update on Hideo Itami’s recovery yesterday. According to the reports, Triple H has confirmed that Itami is taking more time to heal than expected. Itami has been reported to have mobility and scar tissue issues and Triple H has asked him to take his time and return at 100%.
Allwrestlingnews also states that Triple H’s thoughts on Itami as a performer has not been changed and he is looking forward for his return to the ring. With the brand split coming up, it would be the ideal time for Hideo Itami to return to the ring. Let’s hope he makes a quick recovery.
