WWE News: The reason Lebron James snubbed The Undertaker at Cavaliers ring ceremony

The Deadman was there to congratulate the Cleveland Cavaliers on their big win

The Cleveland Cavaliers went down in history as they won the NBA Finals with LeBron James leading from the front. In fact, the WWE also basked in the Cavaliers’ glory when they asked the Undertaker, Michelle McCool and Dana Warrior and her kids to join the Cavaliers in Cleveland, on October 25 for the Championship ring ceremony.

The Undertaker was seen in full wrestling gear beside wife Michelle McCool and Dana Warrior, outside the Cavaliers’ locker room. However, the Undertaker did not actually meet LeBron James.

If the recent reports from PWInsider are to be believed, WWE had sent Undertaker to meet up with LeBron James. Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com reported the incident as a publicity stunt by the WWE. WWE had stationed a camera crew outside the locker room and wanted to film the Undertaker, meeting NBA megastar LeBron James for publicity.

Vardon also cleared the air, saying that James had arrived in the arena before the Undertaker and was unaware of the fact that Taker was waiting just outside the locker room.

However, the facts seem to point to the contrary. It was reported that word quickly spread around the locker room, that the Undertaker was outside and many of the players lined outside to greet the wrestling legend and future Hall of Famer. So it is highly unlikely that James wasn’t aware of the Undertaker’s presence.

Vardon explained that James was not a people person and it would be very difficult for someone, who wasn’t acquainted with James to meet him. LeBron would often make exceptions for business associates or small children before or after games, but that was as far as he was willing to go.

Vardon added that James wasn’t fond of the fact that someone would purposefully try and make money or gain fame through him. Referring to the fact that James wore an Undertaker t-shirt at practice before game 5 of the NBA final 2015, Vardon finally concluded saying, “He wore an Undertaker T-shirt. For him, that’s enough.”
