WWE News: Reason why Bo Dallas got a squash match win on Raw

Bo Dallas and Bin Wang will go one on one in a live event in Shanghai

It's been a rather tumultuous week for WWE superstar Bo Dallas. The superstar made headlines for the ruckus he created at Dallas Fort Worth Airport and his consequent arrest soon after. While Bo’s brother Bray has been in the upper mid-card since the beginning, Bo has never broken the proverbial glass ceiling in spite of being a former NXT Champion.

It has been nearly two months since Bo Dallas last appeared on Monday Night RAW, and since the breakup of the Social Outcasts, Dallas had been relegated to working at non-televised house shows and episodes of WWE Superstars. Dallas, who had been absent for quite a while, had earlier been drafted to Monday Night RAW during the brand split.

The resurrection of the inspirational Bo Dallas began on this week’s RAW when WWE booked him in a squash match. He was booked against a local worker Kyle Roberts in a match that lasted just a few moments. Dallas took to the bout with extreme ferocity and aggression and finished it under a minute. Before the match, Dallas cut a promo on his opponent saying:

Don’t you know, you reap what you sow. There’s nowhere to go – Bo-lieve in Bo.

Squash matches have become a regular feature on Monday Night RAW with Braun Strowman and Nia Jax demolishing local workers week after week. This move could certainly help Bo gather attention and make people sit up and look at him in a different light. Dallas had come to the ring carrying a campaign sign that read "Bo-lieve in Bo", that was reminiscent of a Donald Trump signboard.

The main reason behind Bo Dallas being put over strong this week was that the WWE wanted the fans in China to see him as a believable threat before his match with Bin Wang.

China’s PPTV and PPTV Sports will air Bo’s squash match this week before Bo’s scheduled match against Bin Wang this Saturday night in Shanghai. Wang will be appearing before a staggering home crowd and it just made good sense to put Dallas over before this big match. The product is very new in the Chinese market as compared to other places such as the United States and the United Kingdom and it is a safe bet to assume that Bo Dallas will not be perceived as a lower mid card guy in China.

Bin Wang is the first-ever Chinese talent signed to a WWE developmental contract. He recently relocated to Orlando and has been trying to develop his craft at the WWE Performance Center. It is certain that WWE wants to expand its base into the Chinese market and Wang is their best bet. It is almost certain that he will go over Bo Dallas in front of his home crowd. but there may be still some time before he gets a match against a top talent.
